NHR – Northumberland Hospital Radio is one of the largest hospital broadcasting services in the UK by catchment area and number of hospitals served. The Charity covers the county of Northumberland and North Tyneside District in the North East of England.
With a strong health and wellbeing focus, playing middle-of-the-road music, NHR currently provides a 24-hour service to Hospitals within Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – one of the largest and top-performing NHS Trusts in the UK
How to Listen
If you are an in-patient at any Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Hospital, you can listen to NHR – free of charge – on the bedside entertainment system, provided by Spark TSL.

Event mentions
NHR provides a “What’s On” service, which is broadcast to the patients and staff. It provides information about local non-profit making, non-political and non-religious events. We particularly welcome information about health and wellbeing services and events from bona fide organisations.
